BUNDA LANDforms Collection - The Art of Movement - A unique collaboration of design and performance between Ben Bunda and Sydney Dance Company’s Rafael Bonachela.
BUNDA Fine Jewels and BUNDA Boutique have partnered with Sydney Dance Company to create a limited edition collection of fine jewels inspired by the choreography of Rafael Bonachela's 2011 dance work LANDforms.
The collaboration between Rafael Bonachela, the Artistic Director of Sydney Dance Company and Ben Bunda, the Fine Jewellery Designer has produced a powerful creative partnership. Having spent time at Sydney Dance Company’s Studios in order to observe and sketch the dancers in rehearsal for LANDforms, Ben Bunda has begun to create a limited and exclusive jewellery collection, based on the movement and majestic body forms of the dancers found in Rafael’s brilliant choreography. Dance, music and jewellery design have evolved simultaneously in this highly charged creative atmosphere.
LANDforms was conceived by Rafael Bonachela and the eminent Italian composer, Ezio Bosso and takes its inspiration from the landscape and the impact of the elements on the earth and upon the industrial landscape of cities.
In a similar way, the BUNDA LANDforms Jewellery Collection, designed by Ben Bunda, arose from the designer’s own inspirations derived from the landscape and the earth’s elements – such as with the precious diamonds and gems that Ben sources from the earth for his captivating designs.
With Rafael’s choreography and its potent mix of electrifying physicality and sensual beauty, married to Ben’s devotion to superior craftsmanship, this collection will be a masterpiece of innovative design.
